Making a bet is easy. Each player places their chips on the numbers, color, or sets of numbers they want to bet on. You can make multiple bets per spin. The player will win if the ball lands on any of their numbers. Players can place a bet on an individual number or place an “outside” bet on a combination of numbers.
Outside Bet
The most common roulette bet is a “red or black” wager, which allows players to bet on either color. If the player wins, he will keep the initial bet and win the equal amount. Another common bet is “odd or even,” which has the same payout ratio. A “high or low” bet is also a similar type of bet where one has to choose between numbers ranging from 1 to 18 or 19 to 36.
There are also outside bets that pay 2 to 1. The most popular version is on “dozens,” which means players bet on the first twelve numbers, the second twelve, or the third twelve. The same twelve number bet applies to a “columns bet,” but there is a difference in the distribution on the betting grid.
Inside Bet
Inside bets are higher-risk bets. Players bet on a single number, and if they win, the payout will be 35 to 1. A split is when a player bets on two numbers, and if they win, the bet will be increased by 17 times. A street bet is when a player bets on three numbers with a payout ratio of 11 to 1. A double street wager is when a players bets on six numbers with a payout ratio of 5 to 1.
